Following the retirement of Carlo Thill, Geoffroy Bazin has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas Lease Group SA in France and BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions SA in Luxembourg from 1 July 2018.
At its meetings of June 28, 2018, the two Boards of Directors of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions SA and BNP Paribas Lease Group SA appointed Geoffroy Bazin as Chairman of the Board of Directors, subject to the approval of the supervisory authorities prudential.
He succeeds Carlo Thill, who will retire on 1 July 2018.
Geoffroy Bazin started at BNP Paribas in Paris in 1988 in the organization of market activities before joining the General Inspection in 1993. From 1997 to 1999, he was co-head of Back Offices Markets before becoming, in 2000, Head of the Derivatives Back Offices Paris / London. Between 2003 and 2010, he was Managing Director of BNP Paribas Securities Services in Luxembourg. In 2011, he became Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Committee of the Investment Solutions division. Since 2014, he has been Country Manager of the BNP Paribas Group in Switzerland and CEO of BNP Paribas (Switzerland) S.A .. From 1 July 2018 he will be Country Manager of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg.
Carlo Thill joined the BGL Bank in 1978 and spent the first years in the Leasing, Factoring and Credits departments. Subsequently, he was successively in charge of the Domestic Credits, Risk Management, Marketing, Retail Banking, Commercial and Retail Banking, Human Resources and Corporate & IT Planning departments. In 1998, he joins the Board of Directors he has been Chairman of since 2005. In 2013, he was appointed Country Manager of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg.
